Post Delivery fun on the boat

We took a day out to Pineview Reservoir. It was REALLY pretty out there, next year we will plan a weekend out there with the trailer. We had to drop Wyland into his life jacket for the first time. I didn't get out on the water, just sat on the boat hoping nothing would make my freshly stapled tummy hurt too much. Jackson went on the tube with the boys for a little while and had a lot of fun up until the point that J'Von scooted too far up on the tube and sunk it so they all ended up in the water. I don't think he would have minded if the water hadn't been so darn cold!

Mum and Dad have a turn

My husband thinks he's SO cool ..

Evan just keeps getting higher and higher each weekend.

After the afternoon on the lake we relocated to the beach and set up camp for dinner. We threw some weiners on the BBQ (Dad only fell off the cooler once while cooking). The kids played a little by the water. All in all it was a really fun day and one that we look forward to doing again next summer.

Look at the similarities

This is the very famous "Jesus" picture of Baylee when she was about 3 months old. We used to lift her out of the sink (she only weighed about 8 lbs at that age) and she woudl throw her arms out like Jesus on a cross! And then there is Wyland who did almost the same thing. It's so sweet seeing the different ways that my children are alike.

Wyland 2 weeks

Wyland already seems to be getting so big. He has the long and skinny legs just like Jackson did. He's sleeping really well so I definitely can't complain about that. He hardly ever cries either. Only when he's hungry and even then he just kind of whine's a little. He is sleeping in the same moses basket that Baylee slept in when she was a baby (as well as Jackson of course). My dad bought the basket in England and then hauled it, as well as lots of other things back with him on his way home from a trip. It's so nice knowing that all of my children have spent their first few months in the same place. They also all then moved on to Evan's old crib. So for Wyland that means he's sleeping in a crib that is over 2o years old!! Okay .. so Jackson never really spent that much time in the crib, but we're doing it differently with Wyland.

Fun at lagoon ...

Owen and Jackson
We went to Lagoon as a part of the Harmon Music Group's summer picnic. We get to take all the kids in for free and it's lots of fun. Last year Jackson had a really good time so we were looking forward to going again this year. This year he was able to spend quite a bit of time with Owen. Wyland was one week old and that made me one week post surgery. It was a little tiring but still a fun day. The hardest part was balancing the kids. We had Jeramie's boys who were too young to spend the day in the kids area. Of course Jackson didn't understand that he had to wait while the big kids went on big rides. Then Baylee fell in the middle. She wanted to ride the little kids rides but was too big, and was too scared to ride the big kid rides. So it wasn't an ideal day for her.

Jackson's New World

Jackson has struggled a little bit with the adjustment of going from being the only baby to having to share that honor. He's never been mean to Wyland but he sure has become emotional .. he cries quite a lot these days. But each day seems to get just a little bit better.

See he really does love his brother.
