My Beautiful Children

I know I'm totally biased but I just think my kids are the cutest and want to share our latest pictures. These were supposed to be Easter pictures but looking at them now they don't really look like it. Oh well .. still cute.

Baylee ~ Age 11

Jackson ~ Age 2 yrs, almost 11 months

Wyland ~ Age 9 mos

This is my favorite one of them all. Notice that Wyland and the frog are holding their hands the same .. so cute!

Jackson talks to Grandma Robie

Okay so this to me is just a really funny story. Monday night Jeramie and I were cleaning up around the house before bedtime. Jackson was still away (of course) and wanted to call his Grandma Robie on the phone. Minutes earlier I had been folding laundry while Wyland just say contently watching (being the good boy that he is) and Jackson came up behind and tackled him and made him cry. He got a little swat on the bum and sent on his way. So that's when Jeramie's attempt to console him was, "Do you want to call and talk to Grandma?" So the next thing I know I can hear Jackson on the phone saying things like, "My mom HIT me." In this really sad voice, "My mom hit me on my bum." "I'm sad." Of course Grandma Robie wants to know where Jeramie is and tells him that he can come over to her house. Jackson continues in his solemn voice about how he's sad and I hear these little sad "yes" "no". Going on and on for a good ten minutes. This is when I HAD to get the camera out. Because the entire time that he's going on and on about how he's sad he's perched on the very top step of the stairs. I just thought it was SO cute. Then all of a sudden out of nowhere he says, "I'm HAPPY now." And the moment was over. He was WORKIN' the Grandma!!

Jackson's obsession with HAIR

So since Jackson was a baby he has had this WEIRD obsession with hair. He likes to just run his fingers through peoples hair all the time. To this day when he's tired and climbs on my lap the very first thing he goes for is the hair. And let me just say it drives me CRAZY. Although for him it's like this soothing thing, for me it's painful. He just gets it tangled and it starts to really hurt. Obviously more so for me because mine is longer and so he just keeps twisting and twisting until it's a huge knot. Anyway, he isn't even really picky about it. Sometimes he goes for my dad's hair. In bed, I will move his sleeping hand from my head to his own (and he plays with his own hair)! As you can see in the above picture he even plays with Wyland's. Fortunately Wyland's is still short enough that it probably feels good to him. It's really weird and kind of cute when it's someone other than me. Just one of those things that will mark the memories of Jackson's childhood (hopefully he'll grow out of it).

Spring Fever!

So we had one of those wonderful weekends where they said it was going to be ugly and instead it just stayed so nice. It was a preview of the spring that is just knocking on our door. We had all the kids outside playing in the driveway and street at my parents house. I think we were out there until almost 7pm in short sleeves. The kids LOVED the opportunity to get the bikes outside and run around and yell without getting the dirty looks from the parents. Wyland had his first experience with grass. He didn't mind it at all. Not like Baylee who HATED it. Jackson was being the scary monster yelling at his cousins. What a fun day it was. We all can't wait until it gets warmer and we can get the boat and the trailer out to play!

Cute mannerism for Wyland

It's funny. Now that Wyland sits up he either has his legs stick straight out in front of him, I don't even know how he balances on them. I've got to think it's somewhat uncomfortable. The other thing he's started doing is crossing his ankles. Now this I think is just kind of cute. I don't know why, it's like when Jackson spent all that time on his knees looking like a gopher. Anyway, just thought I'd share this cute little mannerism of Wyland's.
