Try it just once every time.

Back over July 4th weekend we headed up to Jordanelle.  We had gone to see fireworks in Park City with Evan and Rachel the night before so we were pretty much foregoing the entire fireworks celebration this year.  Instead we headed up to the lake in the morning and got out on the boat that day instead.

Wyland started the year by only going down the ladder off the boat into the water.

We do hard things.

I told Jackson I expected him to try wakeboarding with Jeramie 1 time every time we take the boat out.

He was a good sport.  Sometimes he'd even go more than once by choice.

Finished with a smile.

There is a LOT of jumping and swimming off the boat this year.

And she's down (me that is).

Not that he'd be able to help her if she fell.  But she felt better holding his hand.

We are so lucky to get to enjoy these Utah lakes.  It was a good weekend.

Lake Powell Over the Years

We have made SO many good memories at Lake Powell over the years.  As I was looking at our pictures from this year I started looking at previous years. It's amazing how much the kids have grown and changed since we started going just 6 years ago.

2008

Our very first trip.

Wyland and Xavier were practically newborns.

Xavier and his carseat almost ended up in the lake when the tent tried to blow away.

First night Dad, Jeramie, Jackson and Evan slept on the beach with Mike and his family.

Then we were in a motel in Page.  Mainly because we didn't bring the trailer and Wyland was only 4 weeks old I think.

2009

This year Evan and Rachel came, Rachel's first year.  Mike and just his little three came.

The year we had the super scary storm.

Mike tried to teach the boys to surf.

First and only trip to Rainbow Bridge.

2010

This year Evan and Rachel came.  Mike and his family didn't come.

I was pregnant with Oliver.

I think this was the last year that the ENTIRE family was there.
