Prior to the summer beginning we all sat down and identified weekends that we would take the trailer out, trips with the boat and where we would go. This actually proved to work out VERY well and we plan to do the same thing again next year. It makes it easy for people (Mike) to decide if they want to come and then we just plan it all in advance. So we made all of our reservations before the summer even began. There was only one trip that ended up needing to be cancelled due to Amber going into labor early. This was our second visit to Bear Lake. We had initially said that we would NEVER go during "Raspberry Days" again because it was just way too crowded. In the end we chose our Bear Lake weekend without checking to see when Raspberry Days was and ended up there that weekend anyway! Although the events of the festival didn't interfere with our fun, the weather did. There was MASSIVE rain and thunder storms that passed through our way the first night. It got EVERYTHING wet. Fortunately we were safe in our trailer and Mike and his family managed to make it through the storm without getting wet. There were some scared children though. We had to pull the boat off the lake a couple times due to weather as well. Dad says, "We will NEVER do this ever again! Bear Lake is awful!!!" Hmmm .. we'll see.
Baylee just doing her own thing as always..
Baylee and Papa checking out the water.
This was Jackson's first experience with anything close to a beach.
This was us all hanging out on the beach right by our campsite. We all spent the morning there where the kids could play on the beach and in the water. The water was really shallow for a REALLY far way out. This was prior to the windstorm that blew in. After having a little lunch the "men" all took off to drop the boat in the water. This left myself, Grandma and many children. Next thing we knew the wind picked up and literally blew over our canopy. It took all of our strength to get it taken down and all the stuff loaded into the car (not to mention the kids). This ALWAYS happens to my mother and I, somehow we get left with the kids and then bad weather comes along and we're left to "deal". What a nightmare! We did survive though and didn't forget anything on the beach.
Proud Papa with his two new Grandsons.
Jackson and Owen thought there was room for them in there too.
Jeramie helped Evan with some sun tan lotion (like his new swim shorts?)
