The B and B, Wales

So on Wednesday we headed to visit my Uncle Glyn and Aunty Maureen. This is my mum's brother. They live in Northampton. We drove up to their house which was quite a little drive and then just hung out for the night. My cousin Jennifer stopped by for a quick visit after dinner. The next day we headed to Wales. Wales is where my mum's dad, my Papa was from. I have only been to Wales one other time and it was a REALLY long time ago. So this seemed new to me. We were to stay in a Bed and Breakfast called The Old Storehouse. I believe it was built in the 1800's. It sat right along a canal. The canal literally ran at the bottom of the garden. It was ran by a guy named William, he was REALLY nice. The room was really cute and nice. Glyn and Maureen met us up there as well. The plan originally was that we would follow them up there, but then I took a wrong turn and so we went off on our own. We stopped at a pub for lunch and a glass of Cider. Here are some pictures from that first day.

Once we finally found the town that the Bed and Breakfast were in we really didn't have an actual address. We had a picture of the building and so we drove around and around for almost an hour looking for this place. We drove up these huge windy roads, I swear I almost bottomed out the car at one point!!! Then mum wanted me to drive over that same little muddy bridge again .. um NO! We literally asked three different people if they knew of "The Old Storehouse". Two of them sent us on wild goosechases after seeming to be relatively confident of where they were sending us. Finally we asked a WOMAN and she got us there! Duh .. should have known right? What a relief when we finally found it. We expected Glyn and Maureen to have been waiting for us for quite some time, but apparently they had only been there about ten minutes before we arrived.

Our room was really pretty .. as I mentioned already.

The view out of our bedroom window.

The actual breakfast room.

Upon arrival the first thing we did was sit in the garden and have a cup of tea of course!
